Mum on the Run - If the weather were warmer I would think about wearing this....

Another deal was struck on Easter Sunday. If I wanted photos taking, I had to hold the rabbit. So, the rabbit it was, although I don't think that the photographer kept to her side of the bargain. The quality of the photos is slightly questionable and I think she must have gin in her milkshake but then as I've said before, I like the soft focus look.

This is the Zara lace blouse that I bought a couple of weeks ago, together with the Next trousers that featured in yesterday's post. I think that they will work either in the day or for the evening. I'll obviously wear a cami underneath the top when out on the town, so to speak.

This is the monster who held me to the deal, looking as if butter wouldn't melt...

Some of you will remember that I have written about Cecily previously. Sarah and Louise launched the brand in the Autumn and today their Tess dress was worn by Kate Garraway on Daybreak. They have a collection of eight dresses which are made in the same facotry as Victoria Beckham dresses in Portugal. You can see from this shot that the dresses have a great length to them and most of the designs have sleeves in them too.

I can't remember whether I took this shot prior to inadvertently switching the TV off when trying to re-position it, or after. Anyway, whichever it was, I couldn't put it back on again and had to have assistance from the youngest member of the family. I don't think I'm alone in that - but it speaks volumes!

Loving Kate's bangs with the dress - somehow for me, they just work together and I think that it's a great colour on her too. For anyone wanting to follow Cecily on twitter you can do so here and you can "like" their fb page here. I have it on good authority that more Cecily dresses will be appearing on TV next week, so I'll keep you posted.

Just as an aside, you see that dot at the top of the climbing wall? Well she is the chief negotiator referred to above. The mad scootering five year old knows no fear and will have a go at anything.

Fortunately shortly after we arrived home, this parcel arrived which calmed my nerves. I haven't yet opened it, saving the treat for a quiet moment sometime over the weekend. I have a sneaky feeling it will still be sitting there on Sunday night!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend. I suspect that a few of you may head to the shops on the basis that spring must surely be just around the corner (and if you're off with the children, a break would be good for everyone's well-being). If you do make it to the shops, I hope that they are full of lovely finds.

  1. She is so like you Beth! And such a character. Love those Next trousers - might have to try them on - they look amazing on you - somehow doubt they will on me. Dying to see what's in the Boden box but going away to a wifi free cottage on top of a mountain for a week - how will I cope without your blog? Hx

    1. Hi! Really hope that you had a lovely break and yes you're right, she is a character. It's worth giving the Next trousers a go - you may be pleasantly suprised but I would give them a go with heels first. Good luck!

    1. Hi - I've only walked around the house but first impressions are good. The heel is solid and they have a little padding under the ball of the foot which is always welcome. Again, they may be worth a go. If they made it through my front door it's a good sign on the comfort front!

    1. Hi Jenny - so lovely to hear from you and thank you - Matilda is cute but I can't see the likeness but then I think that's often the case in your own children. Thanks for your comment the other day re shoes/comfort. What an interesting profession!

    1. Hi! Lovely to hear from you and so pleased that you like the oufit. I love your wellies! Sadly I seem to be able to leave parcels for "the right moment". I can even do it with presents now and it's not something of which I am proud. Ripping is so much more fun!

  7. I love that Zara top on you Beth, really suits you. I had to take a double look at that wall picture - wow, how brave! Oh and you are far more restrained than me, I would have ripped that box open as soon as I saw it! x

    1. Hi Natalie - great to hear from you and thanks re the top, that's really kind of you. When I saw Matilda at the top of that wall every bone in my body wanted to get her down but I decided that it would be deeply uncool to interfere so turned away. I'm such a wimp! Restraint is bad I have decided.

  11. I drop a leave a response each time I especially enjoy
a post on a site or I have something to contribute to
the discussion. Usually it's caused by the sincerness displayed in the post I browsed. And on this post "Mum on the Run - If the weather were warmer I would think about wearing this....". I was excited enough to drop a comment :-) I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you usually do not mind. Is it just me or does it look as if like a few of these responses look like written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online social sites, I would like to keep up with you. Could you list the complete urls of all your shared sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

  12. I'm impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that's both equally educative and
engaging, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.
